Planeta Formación y Universidades promotes the 1st Talent and Education Forum organised by La Razón

We are delighted to inform you of our participation in the I Foro de Talento y Educación, organised by La Razón on 18 May, in which our spokespersons were Montse Civera, Academic Director of Planeta Formación y Universidades and Segundo Píriz, Rector of UNIE Universidad.

Under the title of the forum 'The nexus between academic training and companies', both have contributed their different perspectives on behalf of Planeta Formación y Universidades. They were joined by speakers such as Elisa Caballero, Global Head of Engineering Strategy and Ops at Glovo, Susana García Espinel, Director of Santander Universities and Universia Spain, and Lluc Pejó, Director of Talent at Agbar's Water School.

During the event, topics such as entrepreneurship through innovation and training; employer branding; collaborative, lifelong and multidisciplinary learning; digitalisation and automation and the challenge of universities to prepare the talents of the future were discussed.

Specifically, Montse Civera highlighted everything that sets us apart and makes us unique in the higher education sector, such as our strong dialogue with the business world, which allows us to maintain a practical and up-to-date vision of the most in-demand professional profiles and, therefore, where the most promising opportunities for the professional future of our students are to be found.

At Planeta Formación y Universidades we closely follow the evolution of the main sectors of activity, something that allows us to keep abreast of market trends and needs, improving and reorienting our educational programmes at the pace and in the direction required by society and the labour market.

In this regard, our academic director also explained how we design and conceptualise our programmes with the help of professors who are experts in their field of work, who provide the practical vision of their experience and real environments, which allows us to train future professionals in areas of high employability from a practical and effective approach.

In this way, we have been able to build an educational model focused on building a training offer that has a high demand and job placement options, putting the focus on curricular practices.

Segundo Píriz, rector of our new institution UNIE Universidad, recalled during his speech that, in an environment of uncertainty, where a significant number of jobs in the year 2030 do not yet exist, it is essential to have a new type of university, with a strong entrepreneurial DNA that combines quality theoretical training with practical teaching.

To achieve this objective, Píriz highlighted the importance of having, as is the case of UNIE, a large number of agreements with companies and institutions, and of having a faculty of motivated professors who are connected to the needs demanded by society.

In short, the strong link between training and business, the essence of Planeta Formación and Universities, both at group level and in our different institutions, is in turn what allows us to develop a differential offer in the world of higher education, in which the objective is for our students to acquire the knowledge and competences demanded by the world of work, providing them with the tools to be able to adapt to any professional environment.
