In the context of obtaining scholarships, grants or funding and in relation to the legal guardian and/or parents, the pupil may have provided us with certain personal data for the purpose of assessing the allocation of such scholarships, grants or funding. The different Grupo Planeta companies may also provide us with the personal data of students and/or users who have given their authorisation. In these cases, the data provided will be: identification and contact data, and/or those that we indicate to you in the first communication you receive from Planeta Formación y Universidades.

For what purposes do we process your personal data, what makes it legitimate for us to process it, and for how long will we keep your data?

Planeta De Agostini Formación y Universidades Holding, S.L. may process your personal data for the following purposes:

This type of activity is usually carried out especially through social networks such as Facebook (Lookalike audience), Twitter (Tailored audiences) or Google (Similar Audiences). In this case, as we do not directly impact our own users with advertising, we use the basic data of all users, even those who have not accepted to receive commercial communications. These companies carry out their activities in the publishing, training, culture, leisure, collectors, textile, private insurance, consumer goods and jewellery sectors.

We also inform you that, in the event of a legal obligation that requires us to do so, your data will be transferred to the administrations, authorities, public bodies or courts and tribunals indicated by the corresponding legislation.

Without limiting the foregoing, it is also possible that certain suppliers may assist us in the management of your personal data, in which case such suppliers will always process the data on our behalf, under a processor agreement, and not in their own interests.

Specifically, Planeta Formación y Universidades may contract the provision of services by third-party suppliers that carry out their activity, by way of example, in the following sectors: logistics services, legal advice, supplier approval, multidisciplinary professional services companies, maintenance-related companies, technology service providers, IT service providers, instant messaging service providers, infrastructure management and maintenance companies.

Do we carry out international data transfers?

As a general rule, we will not carry out international data transfers, but in the event that processing operations are carried out that entail the transfer of your data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area [entity of the Planeta Group] will inform you beforehand about said transfer and will ensure that your data is always protected with the appropriate guarantees, which may include, among others (i) Type clauses approved by the European Commission, (ii) third party certifications.

Likewise, as stated in the previous point, Planeta Formación y Universidades contracts various services to third party suppliers, some of which are located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, for which reason Planeta Formación y Universidades has signed with them the corresponding standard clauses authorised by the European Commission and the corresponding additional guarantees, where applicable.

Do we process on the basis of legitimate interest?

As indicated in this Privacy Policy, some processing may be based on legitimate interest. How long will we keep your data?
