Barcelona dresses up in creativity: FESesDESIGN celebrates two days of design and collaboration

Barcelona hosted FESesDESIGN, an event organised by ESDESIGN, the Barcelona School of Design belonging to Planeta Formación y Universidades, to celebrate design and encourage the more than 700 attendees to build their own history.

The creative and disruptive spirit of the School has flooded the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm with design enthusiasts seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in the different disciplines of the sector; while enjoying a warm and relaxed leisure atmosphere, creating a universe where creativity has no limits.

The event brought together talented designers, artists, national and international creatives to explore the latest trends, exchange ideas and encourage collaboration in the world of design. During both days, visitors were able to enjoy practical workshops that challenged creativity, a networking space, as well as activities that made the festival a unique occasion, such as a DJ, a temporary tattoo stand, and La Risoneta, among others.

Among the most prominent guests was the iconic designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, who with her charisma filled the room with passion and motivation for life, art and design. Agatha Ruiz de la Prada herself claimed that "people want what they recognise", and her projects are a clear example of this around the world. Since its beginnings, it has always maintained the philosophy that "if you do a lot of small things well, they will come out well in the end"; and that is what it has been doing for decades.

Morillas, the Barcelona-based family agency and pioneer of excellent design and branding projects, was another of the guests at FESesDESIGN. In it, following his principle of generating a positive impact on future designers, Marc Morillas, current CEO of Morillas, stressed the transformative role of design, a tool to raise awareness and progress.

Finally, María Cerdán, Creative Director of VICIO, the delivery startup that is taking social networks by storm, VICIO, gave the keys to the success achieved with great branding and design work. In her speech, she wanted to collect all the work done during these three years, the mantras and the pillars that position them as the affordable luxury fast food, or as they call it, "trashy but classy".

After two days, FESesDESIGN closed its doors with a very clear message: design is a great tool for future challenges, highlighting the need to commit to a conscious, sustainable and disruptive industry.
