EAE Business School celebrates female leadership at its Madrid and Barcelona campuses
EAE Business School reaffirms its commitment to female leadership through two outstanding initiatives in Madrid and Barcelona, which highlight the innovation, purpose and impact of women in the world of entrepreneurship.
In Madrid, the campus hosted the event ‘Mujeres que inspiran: Innovación y Liderazgo en el mundo del Emprendimiento’ on the occasion of the International Women's Entrepreneurship Day. Leaders such as Elena Peña (CEO of Micuir), María Fraile (founder of Passta Bar) and Lola López (co-founder of Tintoremus) reflected on the progress and challenges of female entrepreneurship at a round table moderated by Sonia Demet. Success stories of female entrepreneurs such as Bárbara Plazas (Makes Sense), Ximena Vargas (DePaso) and Silvia Hijano (Libracos) were also presented. The event culminated with the launch of ‘Women in Business’, an initiative aimed at promoting female leadership in business.
Meanwhile, in Barcelona, EAE Business School organised the third edition of the TOP 10 Mejores Emprendedoras de Cataluña, recognising women who provide innovative solutions to market needs. Carla Gómez Cano, founder of Theker Robotics, won first place thanks to her contribution to waste management through robots that take on dangerous and repetitive tasks. The finalists included projects such as Gate2Brain (Meritxell Teixidó, TOP 2) and Oniria Therapeutics (Esther Riambau Gascó and Isabel Puig Borrell, TOP 3).
Both events highlighted the impact of collaboration, sustainability and social purpose in women-led initiatives, while connecting entrepreneurs with support networks and visibility opportunities. In this way, EAE Business School continues to foster a more diverse and equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain.
