The José Manuel Lara Foundation and the Universidad Internacional de Valencia present the prizes for the 6th edition of the ‘Enseñamos a leer’ Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla contest

To get students in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla to read more and better and to support teachers in this task. This is the main mission of the awards of the 6th edition of ‘Enseñamos a leer’, a competition organised by the José Manuel Lara Foundation and Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU), part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, which seeks to encourage the reading habit among young people and to give visibility to the new teaching projects that are being carried out in the classrooms of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla to improve the reading comprehension and creativity of pupils.

The prize-giving ceremony took place in the Espacio Hermanos Machado of the Seville Book Fair, and was attended by the Director General de Ordenación y Evaluación Educativa de la Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Jesús Sánchez Hermosilla; the Delegada de Educación y Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Sevilla, Blanca Gastalver Molina; the Rector of the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, Eva Mª Giner Larza; the Director of the José Manuel Lara Foundation, Pablo Morillo Pérez; and the winners of this 6th edition. In this 6th edition, more than 100 projects were presented in the different official categories: ‘Categoría Docente’, ‘Biblioteca Innovadora’ and ‘uturo Docente’.
