Planeta Formación y Universidades

Fundación Exit and Planeta Formación y Universidades are launching an initiative through which they will grant a total of 15 study aids for people in a situation of social vulnerability who have previously participated in Fundación Exit's orientation programmes. The education will be provided by iFP,- Innovación en Formación Profesional - of Planeta Formación y Universidades.

These new study aids are the result of the collaboration agreement signed between both entities, through which they will offer young people in situations of social vulnerability new opportunities for their development and employability, through the study of a vocational training degree.

An initiative that reinforces the commitment of Planeta Formación y Universidades to favour the social and labour insertion of young students in vulnerable situations.

The presentation ceremony for the aids, presided over by the President of Grupo Planeta, José Creuheras, was attended by the CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Carlos Giménez, and Montserrat Civera, academic director. Representing the Fundación Exit were Nacho Sequeira, CEO; Eduardo Ortega, Partner Ortega Condomines Abogados and trustee of the foundation, and Marta Fernández, Senior Technician in Alliances and Philanthropy.

What will these Planeta Formación grants consist of?

These aids will allow young people to train in Intermediate Vocational Training in different specialties, both in classroom and online format, in the areas of study of: Administration and Management (administrative management); IT and Communications (microcomputer systems and networks); Image and Sound (video, disc jockey sound) and Health (pharmacy and parapharmacy; auxiliary nursing care).

Specifically, the collaboration between the two entities, which will cover 100% of the enrolment fees for the training programmes, includes a total of 15 study aids: 5 study aids for Intermediate Vocational Training, in classroom format in Barcelona; 5 study aids for Intermediate Vocational Training, in classroom format and taught in Madrid, and 5 study aids for Intermediate Vocational Training in online format.

In order to be eligible for these study aids, young people must have previously participated in an employment guidance or business-school programme run by the Fundación Exit and have the level of training required to be able to study an Intermediate Vocational Training course.

Nacho Sequeira, general director of Fundación Exit, states that "at Fundación Exit we are convinced that guidance and training are essential tools to break the cycle of vulnerability and open up new opportunities for young people. This collaboration with Planeta Formación y Universidades allows us to offer quality training in key areas for their professional development and in sectors with high labour demand and high possibility of insertion. By covering 100% of the tuition fees, we are eliminating economic barriers that are often the most insurmountable for these young people and their families. Many thanks to Planeta for its commitment to young people and their future".

Carlos Giménez, CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, emphasises that "through this collaboration, we reaffirm our commitment to the future of young people, making new training opportunities available to them, bearing in mind those who are in a situation of special vulnerability in order to help them access the labour market, in some of the most in-demand specialities".
