Nearly 4,000 EAE Business School students graduate in Barcelona and Madrid
The Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona hosted the graduation ceremony, held on 29 May. More than 1,800 Bachelor's and Master's students graduated in an event hosted by Rosa Tous, Corporate Vice President and Reach and Relevance Officer of TOUS, in front of more than 6,000 people.
The graduation ceremony of the EAE Madrid campus took place at the Madrid Arena. More than 2,000 students of the business school, belonging to different masters and MBAs received their graduation sash, in an event that brought together more than 5,000 people, including companions, family and friends. Marc Murta, Indra's CEO, was in charge of sponsoring the graduating class.
Both events were also presided over by the President of Grupo Planeta, José Creuheras, and were attended by both the CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Carlos Giménez, and the academic director, Montserrat Civera, who also had a few words for the students.
Inspirational and motivational speeches
Rosa Tous addressed the recent graduates, recalling, during her speech, the influence of her parents on the success of TOUS, highlighting the vision and intuition of her mother, Rosa Oriol, and her father's ability to make creations a reality. Tous urged the graduates to always keep their "compass" or purpose in mind, and to follow the three C's: consistency, coherence and consequence, adding a fourth C: curiosity. "Only if you are curious will you implement training in your long professional career and never stop learning and training to achieve excellence," said Tous.
For his part, Murtra shared with the graduates advice on how to achieve professional success, emphasising the importance of knowing how to prioritise, maintaining excellence, having a code of ethics, understanding others, and establishing quality relationships. "Learning is key and a lot can be learned from failure, so it is also important to know that chance is 50% and endurance is more than 30%," she said.
The academic director of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Montse Civera, reminded the graduates of "the importance of being good professionals and ethical leaders" and encouraged the students to maintain their links with the EAE Business School community. "You are entering a new stage, in which you are Alumni. This is and always will be your home," he said.
