The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco and Planeta Formación y Universidades promote more than 240 study aids for Moroccans living in Spain

With the firm commitment to support and promote access to higher education for Moroccan professionals and young people living in Spain, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco and Planeta Formación y Universidades are launching the second edition of their study aids programme, the result of collaboration between the two entities, presented by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain, Karima Benyaich, and the CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Carlos Giménez.

The initiative is aimed at young people with outstanding merits and academic level who wish to grow professionally and face new work challenges in order to become agents of change and progress within their field of work.

Financial aid for Moroccan students

This programme of study aids is part of the Cooperation Protocol signed between the Embassy and Planeta Formación y Universidades in 2023. In the 2024-2025 call for applications, a total of 241 new aids will be offered to access courses in: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Intermediate Level Training Cycle, Higher Level Training Cycle, Continuing Education and PhD.

Students will be able to choose from 126 programmes in more than 10 different areas of knowledge that Planeta Formación y Universidades offers through its institutions EAE Business School (at its Madrid and Barcelona campuses), Barcelona Culinary Hub, Iberonex, iFP Innovación en Formación Profesional, OBS Business School, BIU Broward International University, The Core School, EsDesign Escuela Superior de Diseño de Barcelona, Rome Business School, UNIE Universidad, Universitat Carlemany and VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia.

The collaboration between the entities includes three types of study aids, from those that cover 100% of the training, to the second type that covers 75% of the studies and the third type of aids, which amount to 50% of the cost of the training. The main criterion for selection will be the average academic record.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain expressed her satisfaction with the renewal of a collaboration agreement that aims to promote the talent of young Moroccan professionals in Spain. According to Karima Benyaich, ‘the aid programme carried out together with Planeta Formación y Universidades provides a valuable opportunity to pursue a successful professional career with the right skills to progress in any sector, inside and outside the country’.

For his part, the CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, reiterated the involvement of the international higher education network with the future of society. "Convinced of the value of education for the progress of a country, we feel more committed than ever to the professional development of young people. Proof of this is the launch of more than 240 new aids aimed at contributing to the training of Moroccan students with permanent or long-term residence in Spain, said Carlos Giménez.

The presentation ceremony of the new edition of these aids was also attended by the Minister of Culture of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Ahmed Ait Belaid, and the Minister of Economy, Ms. Sanaa Laalaoui; and on behalf of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Andrea Pulido, General Director of Planeta Formación y Universidades for the International Area.
