The Universidad Internacional de Valencia and the José Manuel Lara Foundation promote reading and inclusive education with "Enseñamos a Leer"
The Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU) and the José Manuel Lara Foundation are promoting reading and inclusive education in schools in the Comunitat Valenciana with Enseñamos a Leer. The awards ceremony took place on 2 October at the Bancaja Foundation in Valencia and was inaugurated by the Director General of Innovation and Educational Inclusion at the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment, the Rector of the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, and closed by the Director General of the José Manuel Lara Foundation.
During the day, a Round Table of Experts on the ‘Promotion of Reading and Inclusive Education’ was held with the participation of the General Director of Innovation and Educational Inclusion at the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment, the President of the Spanish Confederation of Teaching Centres Alicante and Vice-President of the School Council of the Comunitat Valenciana, the Director of the Master's Degree in Special Educational Needs and Early Intervention of the Universidad Internacional de Valencia and the teacher of the Master's Degree in Educational Needs of this university.
After six editions and more than 500 projects presented in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, this ideas competition, organised by the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, which belongs to Planeta Formación y Universidades, and the José Manuel Lara Foundation (FJML) arrives for the first time in the Comunitat Valenciana with the mission of reinforcing the reading habit in new generations through teaching innovation and educational equity.
