OBS Business School celebrates with great success the 1st Edition of the Entrepreneurship Award
The event culminated with the presentation of the Entrepreneurship Award, whose winner was Selectum Club, a project led by Nicolás Jiménez Rueda, alumni of the Master in Marketing and Commercial Management of the February 2017 edition. The prize included an endowment of €6,000 to accelerate the project, international visibility with investors and the honour of being the first winner of this prestigious award. The jury was made up of leading figures from the entrepreneurial ecosystem: Simon Lee, founder of Peninsula Corporate Innovation; Urs Rothmayr, co-founder of COREangels Barcelona; Tom Van der Heyden, director of the Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and Dr. Casilda Güell, dean of OBS Business School.
The event also featured a round table moderated by Raquel Clavería, head of OBS Careers, with the participation of experts such as Xavier Olivares, Marta Grañó and Jan Jonckeere, who gave their views on the future of entrepreneurship and innovation. This event marks a milestone in the school's trajectory, as it is held one year after the launch of the Entrepreneurship Route, a programme that aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of its students and alumni. According to the Employment Report 2024, 19.2% of the institution's students are already entrepreneurs.
