IBERO receives High Quality Institutional Accreditation
IBERO, part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, is accredited in high quality, thus highlighting its commitment to education in Colombia, from a model that extends opportunities to the Colombian population and above all, that lives inclusion, virtuality and internationalization as its hallmark.
IBERO has issued a statement in which its president, Guillermo Usechi, shares and celebrates the news:
Today I am writing to you to share a piece of news that fills us as IBERO with pride. The Ministry of National Education has granted us Institutional Accreditation in High Quality for 6 years, by resolution 020202 of 31 October 2024, the highest recognition that an institution of higher education in Colombia can receive.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for your commitment to this goal. This achievement is the result of a history of inclusion, transformation and evolution, added to the dedication and joint work of our entire university community: students, professors, administrative staff and graduates, and the important support that Planeta Formación y Universidades, the international higher education network of Grupo Planeta, has given us in this process.
The High Quality Institutional Accreditation that IBERO has received validates our academic programmes, our institutional solidity, our continuous improvement, and above all, our great objective of consolidating an institution committed to inclusion, virtuality and internationalisation.
By focusing on inclusion, we have ensured that part of the Colombian population that found it impossible to access university education has access to learning opportunities; virtuality allows us to adapt to the needs of the environment to reach different corners of the country; and our international alliances enrich the educational experience of our students.
So from now on, we will be #EnModoAcreditados, which means that we work under high standards as a guide for our educational management. It is a declaration of our commitment to academic excellence that responds to the challenges of Colombian society, a symbol of trust between our institution, its collaborators, students and the future of the country.
This is a moment to celebrate the pride of being part of IBERO and to look to the future, with the confidence that our actions are leading us to consolidate an institution that forms outstanding professionals and citizens committed to the development of a more inclusive society.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Guillermo Usechi
